The Creative Bank allow you, the producer, to access large amounts of IP quickly and to request information for projects which you find interesting. On this page we will cover the basic functions of this platform and how to use it. Most questions we receive can be easily answered by either reading this page or our FAQ page. So save you time, please read these first before contacting us with your question.
Upon logging in you will arrive at your Dashboard. If this is your first time signing-in you will be asked to sign a Non-Disclosure agreement. This is needed to protect the IP you will be able to access. Many filmmakers take a risk by releasing their IP into the world, relying on people's good will and intentions. We try to minimize the risk by having the writers sign a release form (all projects you will see on the Creative Bank are released this way) and the producers sign an NDA. We also recommend all writers to copyright their IP with the library of congress. For any question about this process, please contact us.
Important to note: You will not be able to view projects in the platform without signing an NDA form.
Once you signed the legal form, you can now enter additional information about your company and change your password by accessing the 'MY ACCOUNT' page. The side menu bar is the main method to navigate between these functions:
As you search for project you will be able to 'Like' certain titles. When you collected enough titled you like (No minimum or maximum!), press this button and the Creative Bank team will be notified of your request. We will then contact you by email with additional information. The emphasis is on human to human interaction once we know what you are interested in!
Clicking My Account will lead you to your profile page where you can enter additional information about your company and change your password. Please make sure to enter your company and mailing address so that we can send you any materials you may request.
The heart of the producer dashboard is the advanced search function which allows you to easily find titles in the Creative Bank Vault.
The only required search criteria is the Project Type, default set to Feature Films. You will find anything from TV series to short films in the Creative Bank vault!
Search text will search for keywords in the title, log-line and keywords fields of the project description.
Pressing 'Advanced Search Options' will open up a box with additional search criteria which may be relevant to you, such as whether the writer is a member of the WGA or the amount of locations in the screenplay, which may affect the total production budget.
A key element in searching is the 'Show only" field, which is set to 'New Projects' by default. As you review projects, we recommend that you mark each one by using the green Thumbs Up sign (Like!) or the red Thumbs Down sign (Dislike!).
Once a project has been marked, it will no longer appear in the search results set to show only new projects. This allows you to always review projects you have not seen before.
At any point you can change the setting of your search criteria to show the projects which you liked, disliked or all the projects unfiltered. You can then change your mind and dislike a project you liked, for example.
Pressing the green or red bar to the left of each project will reset its status and turn it to yellow. These projects will then reappear as 'New Projects' in the search results.
Once you are satisfied with your search and marked enough projects to your liking, you can click 'Request Information on Liked Projects' from the side bar and the Creative Bank team will reach out to you with more information.
By default, the projects in the research results are displayed according to their submission date. We recommend coming back periodically to check for new projects as we constantly have new writers join the community and invest in marketing the platform so that others become aware of it.
Thank you for joining our community and we hope to find a project to work on together. Enjoy your search in the Creative Bank vault!
